Description
Bir is a rural village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. It’s the paragliding capital of India and the location of the Bir Tibetan Colony, founded in the early 1960s as a settlement for Tibetan refugees after the 1959 Tibetan uprising.
Day 1: Arrival in Bir
Morning: Arrive in Bir and check into Park Homestay.
Afternoon: Enjoy a leisurely lunch at the homestay.
Evening: Explore Bir Tibetan Colony and nearby monasteries.
Dinner: At the homestay.
Day 2: Self-Drive Exploration
Breakfast: At the homestay.
Morning to Afternoon: visit Palpung Sherabling Monastery, Chokling Monastery, and local waterfalls.
Lunch: At a local café.
Evening: Return to the homestay and relax.
Dinner: At the homestay.
Day 3: Departure
Breakfast: At the homestay.
Morning: Check out from the homestay and head to the bus stop.
Departure: Board the Volvo bus back to Delhi.
